A frequent client in the Washington DC area, Arcadian Productions, asked me to capture their recently rehabbed banquet facility on North Capitol Street.

Accordingly, and having restored a 160 year old building into my former studio in New Castle, PA, I’m a sucker for historic architecture, and this one is a gem! The old Engine 12 fire station, repurposed with style and creativity.

Before becoming a wedding and event venue, the building had a stint as a Jamaican restaurant. But during this renovation, the space was completely cleared out, creating the perfect opportunity to showcase its unique character through photography with the beautiful hardwood floors, bare brick walls, exposed beams and openness throughout.

A Spiral Staircase AND a Fireman’s pole? Oh yeah!

Not every banquet venue comes with a spiral staircase and a fireman’s sliding pole between the second and first floors, right? And yes—there’s even an outdoor pool table. This place has personality, history, and tons of potential for unforgettable events.
