Being frequently called upon to create marketing photographs of jewelry is one of my favorite kinds of commercial photography.  There is real beauty involved in the gems and real artistic ability in the smithing of gold and silver.  This artistry requires photographic skill and techniques to show the jewelry to it’s best advantage, and I love the challenge.  It’s always different.  Sometimes gems with facets that catch the light at just the right angle, sometimes pearls, sometimes the carving of the metals holding the precious stones.  One of this most recent group has a mix of pearls and gemstones.  Notice the basket of pearls underneath!
