Photography Class January 2013: Get to Know Your Digital Camera

#000080;”>Update: HAPPY NEW YEAR!  SINCE THE CLASS STARTS ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, HERE’S A REMINDER. If you received a new camera for Christmas, Hanukkah, a birthday – or have always just intended to take a class – here’s your chance.  On January 8 and 15, from 6-8 PM at the Mac Business Solutions store at 11 S Market in Frederick, take advantage of the opportunity!  Bring your camera, your owners manual and some willingness to learn, and have a blast.  Photography is fun, and great for exercising the brain!

Do you love photography? Are you the proud owner of a digital camera?  Did you get a new one during the holidays?  Does using it to the fullest baffle you?  Does the owner’s manual intimidate you?  Having trouble understanding what that jargon means?  Missing important family photographs while you fiddle with it, or taking so long people lose patience?

Register today for “Getting to Know Your Digital Camera” with Jeff Behm.

#333399;”>Jeff has been a photographer since childhood and a professional for nearly 30 years, with assignments throughout North America and the UK.

This class is four hours of hands-on instruction in two separate classes, with professional photographer Jeff Behm.  It’s entirely designed to assist you in learning how to operate your camera more proficiently; the camera, your owner’s manual and a desire to practice are all that are required, no experience necessary.  Pen and paper for taking notes are suggested.
Jeff brings his 29 years as a professional photographer to the classroom experience in addition to 11 years experience as a photographic educator for the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, The Trumbull Art Gallery, The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, and the United Steel Workers’ Continuing Education program in northeast Ohio.

The two classes, held one week apart, will be 2+ hours each.  Class One deals with general information necessary for photography, technical familiarity with your camera and it’s uses; answering your technical questions, troubleshooting various issues in your experience.  Printed materials are included.

Class Two will concentrate on actual use of your camera in shooting quickly and efficiently, composition and anticipation and what to do with them after capture.  Some outdoor photography may be included, weather permitting.

Update on class schedule:  January 8 & 15, 2013 from 6 until 8 PM.

The January dates are being determined during the week of Dec 10 and will be posted as soon as possible.  If you have a strong preference, be sure to call or email to let us know.  Minimum 5 students, maximum 12.  Classes will be held at Mac Business Solutions on Market Street, Frederick, Md.
