On November 20, I shared “What It Takes”—a behind-the-scenes look at the equipment (beyond the three cameras and half-dozen lenses) that went into a recent restaurant food shoot.

Healthy Carry-out Choices
As promised, here are a few of the dishes Robin Farrell (rcfarrell.com) and I photographed for our client.

Reddy Wings is a takeout restaurant offering a healthier spin on comfort food: air-fried wings, salmon bites, baked potatoes, and three lines of freshly made beverages, each with multiple flavor options.

Air Fried “Fast Food”: New to the East Coast!
Because these images are part of the reveal and advertising for their first franchise, we spent time planning what to feature and how to present it. While most customers order carryout, the restaurant also offers dine-in seating. To reflect the actual customer experience—and similar to many BBQ and wing spots—we chose to photograph the food in the aluminum trays lined with white butcher paper used in-house.

Honey Wings! Yummm!!!
The restaurant had also put careful thought into their countertops and tabletops, so we photographed the beverages and food on those surfaces to capture the authentic look and overall vibe of the brand.
