Award winning photography? Amazing! How fun is that?

This past Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, I received a text from my friend, Mary Kate Battles, congratulating me on winning a Golden ADDY.

I believe my exact words were “Wait!  What????   Whattt??? You wouldn’t kid a fella would you?”

A Gold ADDY!!!???

I had no idea until that moment that the photos we’d created for The Tasting Room with the superb assistance of Sam Levitan and Jessica Patterson had even been entered in anything, let alone the ADDY Awards for the Greater Frederick area.  Yes, I was proud of the photos; I like them a lot, and they were published on my website shortly after The Tasting Room’s new website went live.  But this outcome was never, ever, on my radar.

So…many thanks to Jamie and Jon at Wood Street and to Mike and Lori at The Tasting Room for selecting Jeff Behm Photography in the first place. Thank you too, to Wood Street for acknowledging the photography in their submission, which carried over to being acknowledged at the ceremony.  Not everyone would have done that.

Many thanks to Sam and Jessica for their excellent help and knowledge at all times, not just The Tasting Room session.

Thanks to Mary Kate for alerting me to this fantastic, fun turn of events.

And thanks to The Tasting Room for their remarkable food and beautiful restaurant, here in the heart of Frederick, the Dining Destination Capital of Maryland!!!

“So, what is a Gold ADDY?” one might ask.

“The American Advertising Awards, or ADDY Awards, is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries every year in local American Advertising Federation Club (Ad Club) competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.

A GOLD ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category.”
