Food Photography for Black Hog BBQ

I love BBQ.

I love beef ribs, pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken…. I love it all. In fact, my contribution to a family reunion back in Pennsylvania was – you guessed it – BBQ, and specifically BBQ from the Black Hog.  We had family in from all over, including Europe, and the ribs and chicken were the huge foodie hit. So, when asked by Mike Tauraso of the famed Black Hog BBQ to create new photos for his restaurants in Frederick, Urbana and the new one north of Frederick near the intersection of Rt 26 and Worman’s Mill Road, I was excited to be a part of it. As you can tell, I already knew about the meats.  I knew about the incredible macaroni and cheese, too.  What I didn’t know was that the other side dishes like Southern cooked greens, sweet potatoes, baked beans, beans and rice are just as excellent. Then we get to the desserts!!  Blueberry pie (maybe the best I’ve ever eaten), apple pie, lemon meringue pie, brownies…oh my!! My thanks to Kym Starks and Scott Blackway for their assistance and food styling, too!!
