Gotta love an opportunity to hear the Beach Boys live, even if it’s just the sound check. Those guys are the soundtrack of my youth, especially summers spent poolside with nascent romances in Mt Lebanon, PA., as a junior high student and later, in high school, in New Wilmington, PA. Surprise, surprise, the Boys sounded GREAT, just like I remembered. Can’t always say that anymore about some other of my musical heroes from the same period.
When an assignment from the amazing Arcadian Productions DC creates such an opportunity, how cool is that?
Certainly the entire point of my being there is to document the production values Arcadian brings to the event, like lighting platforms, balcony mounted control stations, enormous LED video screens. As you can see, they do a fabulous job!
